When we started to merge with a new team, I feel the first thing we need to do is to build trust between the team members. When reading Erin Meyer’s book ‘Culture Map’, I realized the way people establish trust is very different in different cultures.

How to convince others in different cultures?
I particularly remember my first French boss when I worked in Singapore. On my first day of work, he printed out dozens of pages of company policies and asked me to read them one by one. (I fell asleep reading them on a chair that afternoon…sorry, this is a bit off-topic.)

New Journey | Good Grief
After leaving Singapore, what I miss the most is the CareCorner counseling center. I volunteered there for three hours a week, helping people in need of mental support, among all the age groups. It allowed me to see the world from completely different perspectives, and be grateful for what I have everyday.
